The short answer
You can give a tier a free trial of 1 to 30 days, or create promotion codes for a discount or a trial. Both are set up in Studio › Monetize.
Add a free trial to a tier
- 01Open Studio › Monetize and tap Edit on a tier, or New tier.
- 02Open Offers.
- 03Under Intro offer, choose Free trial.
- 04Enter the Trial length, from 1 to 30 days.
- 05Save the tier.
- Only fans who’ve never subscribed to you before get the trial.
- When it ends, it renews at the tier’s monthly price unless the fan cancels.
- Trials are on the monthly plan only. Fans can’t pick a bundle or use a promotion code on a tier with a trial.
- A tier can have a free trial or an Intro discount, not both.
Intro discounts and sales
- Intro discount: first-time subscribers to that tier get a percentage off their first payment.
- Sale pricing: set a lower monthly price with a start and end date, up to 90 days. Fans who subscribe during the sale get the sale price on their first payment. Renewals are at the regular price.
Promotion codes
- 01Open Studio › Monetize › Promotions and tap New code.
- 02Choose a Discount type: Percentage, Fixed amount or Free trial (1 to 30 days).
- 03Under Offer to, pick Everyone, New fans or Lapsed fans.
- 04Optionally limit it to one tier, set Max uses and an Expiry date.
- 05Tap Create code.
- Share the code, or use Copy link. The link opens your profile with the code already applied.
- Each fan can use a code once, and a discount applies to their first payment only.
- You can have up to 50 active codes.
