The short answer
We suspend accounts that break our Community guidelines or Terms of service, and a suspended account can’t log in. A temporary suspension ends on its own, and you can appeal if you think we got it wrong.
What a suspension means
- You can’t log in or use your account while it’s suspended.
- A temporary suspension ends on a set date. If you log in with your email or username, the login screen shows that date. After it passes, log in as usual.
- A permanent suspension doesn’t end. The login screen says your account has been permanently suspended.
- You can’t delete your account while it’s suspended.
Why accounts are suspended
We suspend accounts that break our Community guidelines or Terms of service. When a temporary suspension ends, you’ll find a notification in the app with the details.
Appeal a suspension
While you’re suspended, email [email protected] from the address on your account. Include your username and why you think the decision was wrong.
Once a temporary suspension has ended, you can also appeal in the app:
- 01Open Settings and choose View & Submit Appeals.
- 02On the Actions tab, choose Appeal next to the suspension.
- 03Explain why you think it should be reversed, then choose Submit Appeal.
In-app appeals are open for 30 days after the decision, and you can appeal each decision once. See How do I appeal a decision?
