How you’ll find out
We send you a notification in Activity that says what happened, for example that a post wasn’t approved, or that it was hidden or removed. When you can appeal, the notification has an Appeal this decision link.
Common reasons
- It breaks our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.
- It didn’t pass review before publishing. See Why is my post in review?
- Someone who appears in it asked us to remove it, and their consent couldn’t be shown.
- We received a valid copyright notice. See I received a copyright notice.
- It’s hidden while we review reports about it. We send you a notification when this happens.
What you can do
- If you think we got it wrong, appeal from Settings › Appeals within 30 days. See How do I appeal a decision?
- For a copyright removal, file a counter-notice instead.
- Don’t post it again. Repeated or serious violations can get your account suspended or banned.
