The short answer
Every new post is checked before it appears publicly. While that happens it shows In review in Studio › Content, and it goes live on its own once it’s approved.
What happens after you post
We check every post against our Community guidelines. Most checks are automatic, and some posts go to a person on our team for a closer look. You don’t need to do anything while a post is in review.
A new video shows Processing first while we prepare it for playback, then In review.
Posts waiting for tagged people
If you tagged anyone, the post shows Pending verification and stays private until everyone tagged has verified their identity and approved it. We notify you when it goes live. See Adding co-performers.
If a post isn’t approved
You’ll get a notification saying the post wasn’t approved and won’t be published. Nobody else can see it.
Think we got it wrong? Choose Appeal this decision in the notification, or go to Settings › Appeals and choose View & Submit Appeals. Read How do I appeal a decision?
