What the law asks
18 U.S.C. § 2257 requires records that confirm the age of everyone who appears in content for adults. On Fanulu, each creator is the custodian of records for the content they upload.
What Fanulu does
- Before you can publish, you verify your identity with a government photo ID through our identity-verification partner. We keep our own encrypted record of each verification.
- When you tag people who appear in your post, it stays private until each of them has verified their identity and agreed to appear in it. People without an account get a secure link to do this.
What you’re responsible for
You keep age and consent records for everyone who appears in your content. Each time you post, you certify that everyone in it is 18 or older, that you hold ID records for every performer, that everyone else in it is tagged, and that everyone consented.
