The short answer
You’re charged when you subscribe, or when your free trial ends. After that, each renewal is charged at the end of your billing period until you cancel.

Your first charge
- Monthly plans and bundles are charged the moment you subscribe.
- Free trials cost nothing up front. The subscribe screen shows the date the trial ends and the monthly price you’ll pay after it.
Renewals
A monthly plan renews every month. A bundle renews for the same number of months, if you left auto-renew on. Each renewal is one charge for the whole period.
To see when a subscription renews, open Settings › Manage subscriptions. Each one shows “Renews” with the date, “Trial ends” for a free trial, or “Access until” if it won’t renew.
Stopping future charges
Cancel before your renewal date and you won’t be charged again. See How do I cancel a subscription?
